Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
Mine is “What we do in the shadows” I watch it every winter at least once, and I always turn it on as a backround on chirstmas family meatings, its always funny because people still dont get it if its a seriuos movie or a comedy.
Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...
I believe their copyright claim system is set up so that any ad revenue for a song goes to the copyright holder, and they can have the video taken down if that isn’t enough. It’s why YouTubers are so careful not to use too much of a copyrighted song in their videos.
I pay for Spotify for 7 years or so now and i'm so sick of all the ads. After every update there seems to be an: oops, sorry, you have ads now. Podcasts are filled with ads. I was just listening to a podcast where they shoved in 3 ads mid-sentence. How long until musicians put ads in their songs. I'm just so sick of it.
The news is that tons of artists take sponsorship deals to write a brand’s name into the lyrics of their songs. It’s particularly bad in country music but every genre has offenders
Probably an unpopular opinion but I did not like that one. The drama felt super cheap since I knew that Sisko had plot armour and therefore the resolution to the episode would need to be some time travel nonsense where none of it mattered.
Seriously this was very surprising. I’ve been experimenting with GrayJay since it was announced and I largely think it’s a pretty sweet app. I know there are concerns over how it isn’t “true open source” but it’s a hell of a lot more open than ReVanced. Plus, I like the general design and philosophy of the app....
I’m inclined to agree. I respect the work he’s done for R2R, but I find his videos on New York commercial real estate to be incredibly cringe. Nonetheless I think GrayJay is a decent YouTube frontend and will probably continue using it until it gives me a reason to stop or until something I prefer comes along.
I’d imagine it’s meant to be played with consenting players and then the challenges inside become part of the fun. If you know there’s no risk involved then it basically just becomes a pocket dimension containing a hybrid Wipeout course/escape room
There is an idea of a Elim Garak; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable… I simply am a tailor.

It seems so strange to me that we are locked in battle with providers mining our lives for whatever, and we have to work our asses off trying to stay anonymous, to the point of being denied service
or even pseudo-incriminated for attempting to maintain our own life....
Which YouTuber still creates high-quality videos to this day?

Whats your winter season movie that you must watch every winter?

It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it
