That only works if the pc is laying on the long side; most modern pc cases are made to stand only on the short side; kind of a bummer for people like me that still have a desk made to have the pc under the monitor
My problem is not the lack of will to learn something, is the time needed to learn something; when you finish studying at 10 pm and need to wake up at 6 every day it’s kind of hard to get anything else done.
Quartz heating elements are also resistors that emit light, but i’ve never seen anyone complain about them, people tend complain when they dont actually
My internet is 1.5MBytes per second download… And 200kbytes upload, there was a torrent that i was able to save from dying, i remember the poor mf that downloaded that file from me for a whole week; to download 16GB since then he’s been seeding that file; the sheer tenacity that man had.
I’m not sure why but i just flat out work better at night when everyone is asleep, pretty mutch all of the “last modified” time on my project files is from 10 pm to 3 am
Electronics, radiantism (HAM radio operation) and programming. for the first two i’m actually the only one in my town; which is sort of heplful for electronics since people bring broken equipment to me that i either fix or scrap for parts; while it is kind of a bummer for radiantism.
If the rolling wooden variant still turns out not to be enough, I might need to source a real live duck. 🦆 Not sure how patient that would be at listening to me explaining code though. 🤔
On linux i was able to setup my hp laserjet no problem, cups recognised it just fine; the problem is with the integrated scanner, SANE sees that there is some sort of scanner but fails to talk to it, i have windows 10 installed on a usb key essentially only to use the scanner
I’m looking for a vacuum robot preferably under 500€ and with a cleaning station. My main concern is that most robot vacuum providers seem to need to be connected to the internet. Are there any providers that either don’t need that, where I can block the internet connection or any other way not getting a spy in my home?...
The problem is that they are closed off systems; you need to do full on reverse engineering to even understand what you are dealing with; plus there is the fact that these appliances are expensive and, unlike people modding consoles, there isn’t mutch gained for the majority of users
No problem; do note that in most cases you are going to need to open the vacuum to access the serial interface; so make sure you are comfortable with doing that and that you have the necessary adapters… That last one bit me on numerous projects
French tacos; there is only one place that makes them near me and it’s at a train station i rarely need to go to for work; but if i need to go there you can bet i’m gonna eat that for lunch.
If you are on a unix machine you should be able to use duckhunt. When it detects a keyboard typing too fast it logs it and blocks the keyboard until either the attack is over or you input a password, depending on the settings; i’m not sure if that is the original repo though
I mean, with legos it’s not even that bad, because the pieces look different; i have a nightmare box full of screws and nuts with diffrent size and thread i ripped from old stuff, finding the screw you need is an herculean feat
