Agreed. To add to this because the traffic is being blocked it keeps retrying so it’s inflating the traffic size. I have about 14 tplink WiFi switches on a vlan and my pfsense rule for NTP is less than 6 megabytes. OP is conflating legitimate NTP traffic with Tor.

This is a plug for China. It will work fine in US outlets but it’s intended for that Chinese market hence the lack of holes.

+1 this is exactly my experience. My install must be 5-6 years old at this point and its on the rails. I’ve braved many php updates…

‘Amazing’: Queensland mum uses electric car to ‘save’ son’s life with dialysis during power outage (www.theguardian.com)

An electric vehicle owner has used her car’s emergency power system to run her 11-year-old son’s lifesaving dialysis machine and another has ridden to the rescue of his neighbours after devastating storms cut power in south-east Queensland....

Yes I’ve been doing this with my prius for over a decade. The 12V ‘alternator’ on the prius is enough to sustain about 1000w which is plenty for a fridge and some lights. The engine only turns on once an hour to top off the main battery.

Is this Seagate Exos drive too good to be true?

I found this its the cheapest 10TB Exos drive on Newegg and looking to buy 4 of them. I will be putting them in my NAS that I use for my media library and pc backups. The price I’m posting this is $130, I’m also looking similar Exos drives that are $250 is there a difference? Should I shell up for the more expensive drives?

I have an Exos x16 and x18 drive and they both spin down fine in Debian using hdparm. I use them for cold storage and they’re perfectly adequate.

It’s really boring, Debian 12: /dev/disk/by-uuid/8f041da5-6f7a-4ff5-befa-2d3cc61a382c { spindown_time = 241 write_cache = off }

I noticed when they first spin up on boot they do some sub routine and they’re pretty loud and chatty. First time I heard it I was spooked but it worked fine and I just use it for backup so I just moved on. Once it’s on and in normal operation it’s like any other disk I’ve used over the decades. Nothing as loud as an old scsci disk or a quantum fireball.

As someone who has destroyed a lot of wheel barrows, what brand is that? It looks rugged AF. I’m really liking the quality and size of the strut that bolts the nose of the bin to the frame. I WANT

What does it mean? It sounds like Greek street food.

Saganaki is delicious Greek fried cheese. Either way kolinaki just sounds like a magnificent street food wrapped in pita bread and enjoyed by drunks.

Looking for some Guidance Finding a Power Supply for a CrocSee CRS-7A016 Micro Water Pump (specs in post). (reddthat.com)

Hi all, I have a water pump connected to an adapter (pictured) but I am having trouble getting it to run using any of the cords I had on hand; it calls for using DC-only & 12V (between 9-14). I have tried Googling around & browsing Amazon but I’m a bit overwhelmed with options. Can anyone suggest an adapter that’ll get this...

What did you hook up? You mentioned using cords? But first off, what you pictured, you need to make sure it’s wired correctly. There is no standard for barrel jacks. The center pin can be positive or negative and the jacket and be positive or negative. If you’re using a generic 5.5x2.1mm female barrel jack most generic 12v power supplies overwhelmingly do center pin positive and jacket negative. Once you get polarity correct check the amperage rating of the supply and the motor. Motors usually require huge in rush current to start and can easily trigger a short circuit protection on the supply output
