I got a pair but haven’t yet been able to get over the weird feeling of having them between my toes. Plus when I walk with them in I walk like a dog in booties

dditty,

I have encountered a handful of sites that it broke as well. I use the strict protection option and manually add exceptions to the few sites it breaks - then I never have any other issues with them

dditty,

Probably the fifth since GRRM has not yet published book six (TWoW) or 7 (ADoS), unless you count the spinoff books and/or the history book (A World of Ice and Fire).

I agree that the books fizzled out, but that’s kinda the only interpretation possible since we haven’t gotten 6 & 7. Theoretically the whole story has been building to those books (7 most of all based on how the show presented their likely events), but 5 (A Dance w Dragons) was definitely a chore to get through. That whole book felt like filler imo

dditty,

Is this what I have to do to get extensions working in TachiJ2K or TachiyomiSY?

How Many Streaming Services Do You Have?

I remember when it was just Hulu for $5 and Netflix for $8. Saved $50 a month from cable. Now it seems we spend more. I have four. Max, Peacock, Paramount and Hulu. Prime doesn’t count because it sucks balls. (Only paying Netflix when next Stranger Things and Squid Game is released). Curious to see what the average...

dditty,

If it has an emergency reset button that is one of the exact symptoms pressing it can fix

dditty,

Only other troubleshooting step I can think of is to try pressing its “emergency-reset” button with a safety pin if it has one

dditty,

Duh, Sogeking and Usopp are two different people.

dditty,

That Ubuntu would install the snap version of certain apps when I installed them directly in the terminal was the main reason I left Ubuntu after a few years. So annoying!

I work in IT and i’d wager that 95+% of MacOS users don’t know how to find their Library folder or how to view other hidden directories. Keychain Access is also an unnecessarily convoluted system to use as a desktop password manager. The System Settings layout is also not intuitive (not that System Preferences was much better). And although MacOS is a *nix system, there have been plenty of times where I’ve had to Google certain commands to fix things that are different than on Linux.

dditty,

I watched it for the first time ~2 years ago and didn’t laugh once FWIW

dditty,

Awesome, sounds like fun! I love seeing those

dditty, (edited )

Ha yeah that happened to me recently as well

checks profile just to be sure 🤨

dditty,

I read the meme as Arch is something that you should shove up your @$$

dditty,

The fact that it costs $1800 means it was dead on arrival for me. But I wish them the best if they can carve out a niche of privacy-focused iRobot/Roomba customers while bringing increased exposure to privacy issues

dditty,

Apple won’t be forced to change their current business practice if soldering everything to the logic board, security chips disabling devices after repairs unless unlocked with their proprietary software, etc, so it won’t affect their monopolizing of the Apple repair market. They’ll just have to offer logic boards for sale with a one pg PDF showing how to replace the board, and maybe they’ll make the security software fix more available (which would still be huge). But 99% of their users likely wouldn’t do it themselves anyway.

Either way, this is still a huge step in the right direction though!
