I use a cheap, lower end Fitbit. I like the cheap one because it's low profile, the screen is nice and small.

I do use it for time constantly but the other features are nice too. I can read, but not reply, to texts. I'm notified of an incoming call. I do use the step counter and hourly activity reminders to make sure I move enough at my sedentary job. The stopwatch feature is great for in-between sets at the gym. I like knowing my heart rate too when I'm working out.

How do you work full-time and stay awake all shift?

A few questions to people who have struggled long-term with fatigue, exhaustion, insomnia, etc.: what do you do to keep awake for a full-time workday? Black coffee, supplements, herbs, drugs/prescriptions, other? None, and it required a lifecycle habit change? Have you had success with “desk” jobs sitting all day, or had to...

First things first, do you get enough sleep at night?
I work a desk job and do consistently get pretty drowsy around 2pm. I find that eating a lighter lunch and moving around keeps me awake. Take a walk around the building or something, it's bad for you to sit all day long anyways. I drink an energy drink every day as soon as I get in but I don't know what effect, if any, it has on my afternoon drowsiness.

Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Occasionally there will be questions that only reddit has the answer to so I have to reluctantly use it. I...

At some point in high school I stopped standing. I want to say my freshman year but I could be wrong. It was just on a whim one day, although I was a bit of a rebel at heart, I was not the type of student to get in trouble for anything.

Anyway, from the day I first decided to ignore the pledge, I was never reprimanded for it. Some teachers would stare daggers at me but I never received any punishment nor were my parents notified.

Edit to add: The time period would have been sometime from 2007-2010

I would prefer a platform without karma or reputation. The way reputation works on Kbin isn't great anyway. Downvotes lower it but upvotes don't raise it. My rep is low because most people don't boost.

A karma/rep system can disincentivize participation as well. I don't think it's necessary to keep trolls at bay.

I think boost is like a retweet? I'll look around to see if anyone ever explained it all.
