flambonkscious,

Reminds me of those insurance claim attemps “a stationary car reversed into me”.

Can’t imagine that goes down well

flambonkscious,

That’s a quality rant, I love it! The other guy had a point about zoning to allow greater density, but I think that’s a separate but related issue.

Obviously these will never come to pass while your leaders are all landlords, though

flambonkscious,

I may be an old fart, but I loves some potty humour!

flambonkscious,

Especially if ones ‘accurate’ and doesn’t use white people?

flambonkscious,

I concur - it seems like the chances of recovering so gracefully (vs ending up in a ditch, or similar) are miniscule.

Plus the while setting is conveniently clear, like its been planned

flambonkscious,

Thanks, I was wondering, too.

Poor guy, he’s never going to get a fair chance in life…

flambonkscious,

All the shitty chromium forks have the option (usually defaulted on) to remain running in the background even when closed. I honestly don’t know why, other than advertising mining bitcoins…

flambonkscious,

“Just how long did you know dad before you married him” - damn that’s savage

flambonkscious,

The ‘made with minimal effort’ is top-tier, too!

flambonkscious,

I love that idea of asking people to tell him their story - this is a fantastic story

flambonkscious,

I think it’s more that if everything is made by boring, rich, white men we get less of a range of perspectives.

Everyone knows creativity is driven by adversity, so having less privileged people telling stories is a no brained.

You’re right about indie, I completely agree on that

flambonkscious,

Actually, no:

“We’re missing an enormous creative opportunity by not diversifying. We deplore creative laziness, we deplore financial laziness, and so we should therefore deplore a lack of inclusivity,” she said of the industry. “Homogeneity in any industry is the death of progress and innovation. That’s certainly the case for the creative industries. When you walk onto a set that is homogenous, you can sort of taste the outcome. The things that break through that are fresh, that have influence for the next decade, always start because someone took a risk on them.”

flambonkscious,

No, it’s just held upside down. For some reason I think the concave but goes by the ear and the flat bit is spoken into.

Now I’ve written it, it doesn’t make sense, but I’m pretty sure I’m correct - long conversations weren’t comfortable against the ear (because of the ring?)

flambonkscious,

Awesome! I needed something like this to get the dire straits song out of my head from an earlier meme

flambonkscious,

…Makes the rest if us look smarter!

It has it’s uses, that’s all I’m gonna say

flambonkscious,

Yeah, well, when you develop characters as much as he did, it’s manageable, I guess.

He did some good world building, though - don’t get me wrong, I feasted on the Hari/robot series several times over!

flambonkscious,

It’s expensive AF, I’m sure. The food is a far easier avenue (less fun, but far smarter)

flambonkscious, (edited )

Look here captain nuance, when we want your opinion, well give it to you!

flambonkscious,

…And yet there’s lawsuits unfolding where kids are accusing the established structures of failing them by not addressing climate change while pursuing profit.

Kids protesting instead of being in school, etc.

Sorry, tbone, but you are simply wrong
