gregorum,

• Firefox now supports creating and using passkeys stored in the iCloud Keychain on macOS.

Died as an infant from anything

Unfortunately, not enough detail was given regarding the story or plot, so no comparison can really be made.

gregorum,

i’m using safari on macOS, and i’ve had pretty good luck with Ad Guard Pro. when i get the adblock warning, i switch my user agent. when that doesn’t work, deleting my cookies usually does the trick.

technically, Darwin, the microkernel, is at 23.2.0, but it was based on the Mach microkernel from NeXTSTEP/OPENSTEP (which is part of why it stared at 10)

the latest release of macOS is 14.2.1

gregorum,

Always at Garak’s, “picking up his pants”

Qaplaaaaaaaaaaaaa’! 💤

[Resolved] Debian 12: trying to auto-mount a NTFS-formatted hard drive by making an entry in fstab. Getting the error "mount: /etc/fstab: parse error at line 18 -- ignored"

Here’s the entry in the fstab file for mounting my hard drive. I have bolded the name of the hard drive (that’s what it shows up as on the dock when it isn’t mounted):...

gregorum,

lmao, ok i see.

in any case, i’m very glad that you got your drive mounted!

gregorum,

while i’m certain that automatic transmissions indeed do exist in Europe, i was simply referring to the fact that they’re far less common there.

but the fact that distracted driving is punished far more severely there, however, DOES have a major impact on how less common that habit is in European driver culture. also, probably, the culture of giving more of a damn about your fellow citiens than your average American does.

The show was made for syndication, so it wasn’t airing on any particular network. It was Rick Berman that had the issue with it on Deep Space 9, and both he and Brannon Braga (aka “Bermaga”) that had an issue with it on Voyager and TNG. Both of them are known homophobes.

But even what happened with Ellen in 1995 and Will and Grace in 1997, didn’t make much progress on Star Trek. There was even a scene with lieutenant Hawk and his husband in Star Trek first contact that was cut per Rick Berman‘s orders.

edit: sorry for the multiple replies! lemmy is being weird

gregorum, (edited )

it’s not. the lemmy-ui max width for the poster element is far smaller than that (1104x960). in fact, the poster element is set to be a near-square (displays as rectangular in web and mobile web on the page header), as it also displays in the sidebar and in mobile apps as a square if the image is. most mods simply assume it’s a rectangle and upload a rectangular image.

this image is made to be the largest usable resolution lemmy can display as a community poster and optimized to be very small in file size. see on lemm.ee/c/plex

I hope you don’t have any quadrotritacale lying around because… you don’t anymore!

gregorum,

So did I, and it was. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

gregorum,

It was funny when that happened in an episode of VOY when Janeway ordered a coffee, and then the mug materialized a few seconds later because the replicators were malfunctioning.

gregorum,

The pantry owl said, “ahem, ahem”

gregorum,

In what way? Because there a lot of bad things about poo other than the taste.
