jol,

Germans literally never think about this unless when travelling abroad.

jol,

TAKE THIS COMMENT DOWN. YOU’RE CAUSING US GREAT FINANCIAL HARM. MILLIONS!!

jol,

I don’t. When I have a need for software I got look it up.

jol,

Even this picture is a decade old by now.

jol,

Alcohol-free beer is usually made through the same process, though. So I expect it to cost the same.

But mocktaiks at bars that are basically juice costing almost the same as cocktails? Yeah, fuck that.

jol,

Nano literally tells you all the shortcuts to your face.

jol,

I’ve seen them do that in porn. But you have to be already extremely relaxed for that.

jol,

This must be the most misused meme ever.

jol,

The problem with one time purchases is that you might be investing time in an app that later will go out of business. Keeping an app up to date requires real constant work, before you even think of adding features and fixing bugs. People got used to paying 2 bucks for an app and keep it forever. That’s completely unsustainable.

But yeah, sure, some companies push it.

jol,

Each generation does something to spite the previous. Gen Z reads the papers ironically.

jol,

Actually I was listening to a podcast that explains this. They didn’t have levers yet. They did have other devices but no lever.

jol,

You’ll have to somehow launder that crypto first.

jol,

With the new AI integration, you can get smart isEven results that return the correct answer 90% of the time and a more creative solution 20% of the time.

jol,

Oh, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.

jol,

Worse. All games used to let you create your own servers to play with friends. That’s basically gone.

jol,

But it’s mostly a scam. The costs don’t remotely compare to the revenue. Reviewers time is not paid, and there’s a price to both publish and access. It’s all about the prestige to publish. If you contact the author directly they’ll typically gladly send you the article for free.

jol,

People that say this are so silly.

You’re not being oppressed. It’s just that saying merry Christmas to a crowd of diverse backgrounds is like wishing your mum a happy fathers day. She won’t be mad or offended, she’ll just think she should have breastfed you.

jol,

I hate dark backgrounds though. Too much contrast.

jol,

I thought this was gonna be some parabole about veganism but I’m honestly not sure.

jol, (edited )

Yes, if you like living with people. Why is it OK for cities to be plastered with ads? It’s been shown they are not necessary.

And it’s not like TV or Youtube where ads are subsidising my experience. Outdoor ads are very rarely subsidising the thing you are experiencing. Sure, maybe ads on buses and bus stops help lower bus costs. But most ads are on buildings and billboards where the city doesn’t benefit from them. And you can’t opt out from riding a bus plastered with ads that cover even the windows making you even more depressed. There’s no bus premium subscription.

jol,

Have seen this in vegan groups multiple times. “Used to be vegan, but no longer am because some vegans are mean”.

jol,

I’m a big One Piece fan. One piece has thousands of characters many with fleshed out back stories. They all feel fresh and unique and the universe is coherent. But marvel? Most if not all super heroes are interchangeable and the universe makes no sense.
