I enjoy Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup played in the terminal with ASCII graphics. I wonder whether there are other hidden gems out there which don’t get attention because they are “ugly”?
I didn’t go back to Windows, at least not directly.
I was enjoying Linux on my old lap, but then I managed to get a MacBook Pro 2014 in that year and ditched Linux for macOS they are very alike although macOS is way more closed…
Then I discovered you can’t go full macOS either, that’s why I BootCamp as well with W10 installed, I barely touch it but it’s still there for simple things like running .bat scripts, having a no lame NTFS support, and some light Steam gaming and local government software gore.
The first game I ever played? Must has been Mario Bros 3 game for NES, or probably Sonic The Hedgehog, the first game that was mine was actually a combo of Grand Turismo and DBZ Ultimate Battle 22 for the PS1 at 6 years old, GT definitely was hard as balls, and not a fan of racing titles at that age, so I mastered DBZ lol.
This please, I have seen some posted webpages here that are behind a paywall, and I’m on mobile most of the time, so I don’t know a quick way to get rid of that.
What are your favorite "ugly" games?

Those who tried Linux and went back to Windows, what caused you to go back to Windows?
Additionally, what changes are necessary for you to be able to use Linux full time?
what was your first video game/system you played or remember playing?
mine was snafu on intellivision. i think i liked it because it reminded me of the light cycles from tron.
Assuming a lemmy bot building and hosting website existed soon. What features would you like to see?
Think Automoderator but available to everyone (although bots would need some instance admin / community moderator approvals to prevent abuse)
I was so hopeful that Reddit might see reason, but at this point, pigboy can take reddit and stuff it up his spez
This is honestly probably for the best. It’s a really bad idea that we’ve let reddit monopolize niche knowledge
