Does AI-generated art posted on lemmy bother you?

I find that i can spot AI Images fairly easily these days, especially the sort of fantastical tableaus that get posted to the various AI communities around lemmy. I’m tired of seeing them; it all looks the same to me. Was wondering if im being too sensitive, or if other people are similarly bored of the constant unimaginative...

As long as they don’t include something to the effect of “I made…” then I’m just mildly irritated at it.

If it does then I ask them what they made because I don’t see it (since it wasn’t them, it was AI)

Essay prompts are not hard work. You prompted AI or you used AI, but you didn’t create anything. I don’t support AI, but I find it passable if people don’t claim it as their own work.

You didn’t create it, AI did. Ask an actual artist if you created it; they will say “no”.

It may be a little older, in podcast terms, but it’s a great time travel journey from 20XX to 1943. Even for being a fictional story, it does get a lot of things right in historical context.

I recommend it because it’s one I started with and still keep coming back to just because it’s such a good story.

Edit: Bonus of being older, it’s complete so you can binge to your heart’s content

If you don’t want to spend any more:

  • VirtualBox
  • OBS

VirtualBox to get around DRM (recording software can be seen if video used in host system) and OBS will allow you to record a window.

If mkv is too large then you can use Handbrake to convert it to MP4 or m4v.

Just be sure to have any mics muted during recording and also mute notifications

True, OBS sometimes makes windows have the same names so the VM program could have the same name as the running VM. Just something I did with my first time using it for that since I didn’t know better.
