well, if the website thinks that it is allowed to store cookies, it will. but cookies make you easy to track across sessions.

generally i’ve found that changing the useragent and/or vpn location will work.

a subscription to a service X is O(n), where n is for how long you keep that service.

instead purchasing the content provided by X individually, is O(m), where m is how much content you buy.

if in one subscription term, you would spend more purchasing individual content than one subscription fee to X, it is financially more efficient to use X.

however, this assumes you will only consume a piece of content once, and dont care about having a physical/true copy of it.

a O(1) scenario would be like a lifetime subscription to X.

ps: i am fully on the side of owning media, and i have no idea if this comment is actually true, it just sounds smart :-)

(Constructively) What is your least favorite distro & why?

I’ve been distrohopping for a while now, and eventually I landed on Arch. Part of the reason I have stuck with it is I think I had a balanced introduction, since I was exposed to both praise and criticism. We often discuss our favorite distros, but I think it’s equally important to talk about the ones that didn’t quite hit...

yep. i dont see a reason to use Manjaro when EndevourOs is basically the same, but better (and a nicer color theme!)

im pretty sure you can get by pretty well without the terminal, for the most part. although, it is arch based, and its kind of the point. no distro is for everyone.
