What are the plans around admin tools?

Instance owners currently gets notified when someone has reported a user for spamming or trolling, but frequently it’s a user that is not on his instance, so he can’t do anything about it. Wouldn’t it be better if instance owners got notified only when they can take actual action (like the user being registered on their instance)?

What we are seeing is that outgoing federation of posts and comments works after a restart, but new posts and comments made on the local instance are not federating to other instances until the next restart. This is with version 0.19.1.

Also after a restart, the server eats a lot of cpu for several minutes. Im guessing this is normal with the federation queue being processed but cant be sure.

Yeah that’s what we are having here too, huge cpu usage and issues with outgoing federation. Sounds spot on.

I think being depressed is perfectly natural when being on this planet. But since it makes your life worse, it’s important to know how to think about something else so you don’t feel sad all the time (which is natural considering how shitty it all is). Human leaders are at a very primitive stage of mental evolution and we all suffer because of that.

I get excited about computers and tech so I focus a lot on that in my life. You need to find something that feels fun and exciting despite the world being shit. Also I stopped watching news like 15 years ago and I’m ignorant now of all the things that happen every day. Feels better.

It’s much better for mental health at least. You won’t know about all the stuff that happens every day, but I feel like it’s all useless knowledge anyway.

You will start to feel disgusted by those people on the TV. News anchors, presidents, celebrities, fed chairman’s or whatever it is. They are all inside the matrix 100%.

And prepare to move to a country where tech is not very widespread. Try to gather money so you can move if you want to.

Humans can be really nice on a individual level but society is run by evil people. I think it has always been that way. Good people don't want any part of the power struggles and backstabbing, so they forfeit power to the people who are into that. By design, the system rewards evil people. And they are also the ones who really care about money, status, and so on.

This means humanity is fucked. It's pretty simple. Unless consciousness somehow changes in everybody at once, and everyone suddenly wants to do good instead of evil. Then we have a good chance. The tech can help build a paradise here for everyone.

But that won't happen unless good aliens somehow transforms our minds into something completely different.

I'm surprised anyone would think their are being themselves... I thought everyone knew they are acting. But maybe not everyone knows this actually.

Maybe men are a bit stupid in this regard... Some of us get a bit brain freezed by a good looking woman.
