Our sun will not explode, it will become a red giant, progressively grill us, pulse and contract to a white dwarf. Got a couple hundreds of millions of years before the intensity becomes unbearable, that’s a thousand times the age of our species. Hopefully we have figured interstellar travel by then, if we don’t have already destroyed ourselves. www.space.com/solar-system-fate-when-sun-dies
Yes, AI term is used for marketing, though it didn’t start with LLMs, a couple of years before, any ML algorithm was called AI together with the trendy data scientist job.
However, I do think LLMs are very useful, just try them for your daily tasks, you’ll see. I’m pretty sure they will become as common as a web search in the future.
Also, how can you tell that the human brain is not mostly a very powerful LLM hosting machine?
You’re procrastinating because you have some anxiety based on overestimation of the effort that the task will require and underestimation fo the pain that it will be to rush it at last minute. To prevent your brain from going wild, split into little easy tasks, start with something that seems pleasant or easy to do in 5 min and you may manage to focus for longer, or take a break and set another 5 min task. You can also add some reward, like I’ll eat this chocolate cookie or watch this cool video after I have completed this much.
Not much I think, think you’re also demonstrating it in comments.
I think my comment contributes to question this kind of behavior which is still too much normalized as shown by your votes. Too many people still think it’s cool.
I’m glad you’re working on it and I hopes it improves things for you. I think answering to critics online without resorting to insults could be a good exercise. I didn’t say I was better than you, while you just did, I just wanted to point out that this behavior shouldn’t be celebrated.
