pastermil,

That’s not an excuse. Go get yourself a T420!

pastermil,

Usually when you have multiple DEs installed, the login manager would let you choose.

Just need to make sure the autologin don’t get in the way of your choice (e.g. select it thru autologin or disable it completely).

pastermil,

Isn’t this pretty much the Ubuntu LTS schedule? Linux Mint has been tracking the LTS as well.

pastermil,

I’m not using Pop, but am somewhat interested in their development. In what way is it stagnant?

pastermil,

Quite late for that. The fun time is in the past.

pastermil,

Oh hey! I collect somewhat vintage computing stuff as well! Mainly Thinkpads. What I found the most challenging would be finding replacement parts, especially batteries. How do you go about yours?

pastermil,

Okay, that is nice and all, but what does your friend use it for??

pastermil,

Same here. After marriage, I did learned to tone down on this.

pastermil,

How about making sure I don’t hit anything on my way out?

pastermil,

That’s why you trade them out for some big guns.

pastermil,

I’ve been hearing about this a lot. How would this NVK relate to nouveau driver?

pastermil,

Not sure your exact situation, but from just the information you shared, there seem to be three options that you can choose from.

  • remain undiscovered: just do nothing, stay where you are
  • heavily curate your profile: get rid of the stuff you want to hide which I presume would be the reason you want to stay anonymous
  • just show everything: hide nothing, let them judge you

There’s actually the fourth option in which you create something new just to show them, but would it be the kind of piece you’d be proud of? It wouldn’t be the same as the ones you’d want to show them.

pastermil,

config neovim while clocked in.

You’re supposed to do it on your free time, like over the weekend, instead of spending time with your loved ones. Duh!

pastermil,

I use btrfs subvols to keep my stuff separate without any sort of hard limit.

The reason? Makes managing system backups easier. The home and log directories are both on separate subvol; the tmp directories are on tmpfs. All I need to do is snapshpt the root subvol.

pastermil,

Drawer? I keep mine in a bucket straight from the drier!

Z-Library Blog: "Unprecedented seizure of our domains with books on rare languages" (z-library.se)

Today we are forced to share some sad news - yesterday many of our domains were seized again. We should highlight that the majority of the seized domains were not mirrors of the Z-Library website. Instead, they were separate sub-projects, containing only books in rare languages of the world, and their blocking is perplexing. For...
