You see it because on GNU/Linux (and other *nixes) you have good reason to get at protected files if you administer the machine, and because you forget to sudo things

Maybe. But it used to be more true, back when IPA meant strong and bitter, and other terms were used for the high flavour beers

We used to have a letter for ‘th’ (thorn (Þ, þ)), but it was replaced by ‘th’. There are people trying to bring back, but I wonder if they just like typing þorn (thorn)

No perl either. Much like python you find a relevant library (in cpan), but unlike python there will be seven different implementations, and any four perl devs will come up with at least ten solutions, nine of which will successfully rescue the princess
