scytale,

I’m going to a concert tomorrow and this is gonna be me. If only parking wasn’t a hassle (and if public transit was actually a viable option), I’d arrive just in time for the show to start instead of getting there more than an hour early.

scytale,

his business don’t depend on number of customer available

Clarify this with them. If the business does not depend on customers and selling a product/service to them, then it’s most likely a pyramid scheme/MLM. If he continues to be vague about what exactly the business is, that’s another red flag. A legit business shouldn’t be hard to explain, especially to people they want to ask for investment from.

He’s a great visual director, but he needs a good writer to keep him in check.

FOSS alternative to... Sending Spotify links?

This is probably a dumb question but what is a better way to send a link to a song to friends without using Spotify? I don’t use Spotify anymore so I don’t like going back to that website just to copy a song link so people could hear it. I know I could send something like a YouTube link but I’m trying to degoogle so I...

scytale,

Cool! I didn’t know about this. Thanks for the recommendation.

scytale,

Does he have any stories of weird/strange things he saw/heard on those small uninhabited islans?

scytale,

The starlabs one is actually pretty interesting. Too bad the keyboard is not included in the price and costs extra.

scytale,

There are a couple that I would put in the same tier, but the one that hasn’t been mentioned yet is True Detective.

scytale,

Wow that’s pretty generous of your employer. What industry are you in if you don’t mind sharing? Just curious as I’ve never heard of a company that is willing to shoulder a year’s worth of salary for their employee to do something else.

scytale,

Mint is like 99% plug and play on most laptops, so I’d recommend they go that route.

"Jogging From the Perspective of Animals" by Jake Likes Onions (files.mastodon.social)

alt textFirst panel: [blank white space with black text] Jogging from the perspective of animals Second panel: Wolf by a tree looking at a man jogging. “What are you running from, apex predator” Third panel: Wolf: “Are you chasing prey?” “You need to conserve energy” Last panel: [second wolf peeking in] “The hell...

scytale,

Also, animals: I don’t know what they’re running after/from, but let’s chase them!

scytale,

Even just rinsing before food dries/hardens helps a lot for washing later. That’s what I do.

scytale,

Great to see Ryan Gosling in more comedies. Dude has great comedic chops. The rest of the cast looks great too.

scytale,

Since I just saw a post of a sequel, it reminded me: It Follows. The dread of something that is coming for you and it can’t be stopped no matter where you go or what you do is what makes it scary to me. I actually had dreams (or nightmares) of something following me a few nights after watching it. And you know what happens when you try to run in dreams right? So yeah.

scytale,

Maybe. What makes the thing scary is how unstoppable and inevitable of a force it is, no matter what you do and no matter where you go. I’ll be disappointed if they somehow find a way to kill it in the sequel.

scytale,

The original film works as a self contained story. I think a sequel will ruin the mystery and lore.

scytale,

For the dipping sauce, add soy sauce to the chili garlic oil, and squeeze a tiny amount of lemon juice.

scytale,

I personally don’t agree with it. I already use Signal and I don’t like that it requires a phone number.

scytale,

Zuck in the EU: I receive €13 AND still collect your personal data.

scytale,

I do this as well, especially in the office, where it happens all the time, not just during cold months. Every time I touch a door knob or elevator button, I get shocked. So I kinda slap it first with the back of my hand before I touch anything metal.

scytale,

Intermittent Fasting is what worked for me. I’ve been on 16:8 for 3 months now and lost almost 10 lbs so far. I like it because it’s so easy. Just don’t eat for 16 hours. No need to avoid any particular food/ingredients and no need to count calories (relatively compared to other diets). I didn’t have to change what or how I eat other than the time I stop and start eating.
