Nope, reading people’s history is the number one reason i liked Reddit and now lemmy. It’s just anonymous enough that you can keep your private life separate, and having a comment history stands in as an online barometer of who the other people your talking to are generally like

I’ve felt very comfortable not buying a single ubisoft game since rayman legends, a great game that i use my pirated copy to play because it works better than the DRMriddled version i paid for.

Generally i don’t even bother to steal ubisoft games since i haven’t played a good one (imo) since early early far cry or asscreed2

Yarp i like being an adult, it’s the part about the world being poo and the assumption that it’s responsibility to fix it that I’m hatin’.

I’m fine with taxes but i should still have hopes! I should still get to do fun! It’s not fair that the fun got all sucked out! It’s all been sucked out! And it wasn’t even too terribly long ago.

I hear lots of stories (i bet y’all have too) from people who have worked any job for 10-20 years about how much more fun or at least laid back it used to be.

Being an adult should be fun. I should get to, with my adult freedoms, do the things i dreamed of as a child! I don’t need to have the white ferrari testarossa from Miami vice but i should have the house and a nice life where i can take a month or two off every year.

Im kinda mad cuz i removed netflix from my phone plan cuz they kept increasing prices. now Netflix is apparently something i get in my package (its in my base plan somehow and not something i can uncheck anymore. It’s not something i can remove, (something i want because fuck Netflix yarrr) and the base phone plan price keeps ticking up. Fucking phone plan pricing grrr that’s a whole other thing…

A bad take from a good person. I like your history so i want you to think about this…Don’t get mad at or direct hate towards passionate people. The world needs them to make stuff for the rest of us schlubs who spread our attention thin. Besides, isn’t some of that annoyance, just a little of that prickly feeling, jealousy?

I get the feeling you’re expressing here, i do. I’ve felt it myself. I personally have wondered why, and done some self-reflection and considered maybe this is my answer. If it makes sense then maybe it is your answer too. Whatever you’re reason for feeling this way, the next thing to ponder is is whether expressing this emotion to others has a practical use for them to hear, out for you to say.

This one is a feeling that is useless to everyone especially yourself.

But the main problem is that the glasses don’t do much we can’t already do with phones.

This is enough to tell me they’re not going to catch on. But even if they did somehow, i think it would be a short fad. I mean that meta et al would not be able to stop themselves from turning the glasses away from useful things and towards just being another ad serving platform.
