Caves of Qud is something I love to relax with. It’s full of stuff to explore and you can take your time since its turn based. I don’t even mind so much when I die, because you get to create a completely new weird mutant and try again.
Dreams where I’m someone completely different. Doesn’t matter which gender or whatever, just that I’m living a different life. I sometimes have dreams where I have a very consistent identity, like I know I am that person.
I don’t mean for this to sound depressing, my own life is fine. I just really like pretending to be different people :)
I would really like to foster a sense of community in the communities I’m active in. Mostly I try doing this by encouraging others to post, reference to other users by name like “nice to see you back, user” or, “you should ask user, they know more about this kind of thing”.
Referring to others by name does make a community seem more like a connected whole. At least in my opinion.
It’s nice to be recognized as a person and not just another comment.
I don’t have the vocabulary for a good mantra like most of you. But a shoulder shrug and a “what are you gonna do about it” kind of noise is enough for me.
Speaking as a mod (of a very easy going community, mind you). This is not how I see my responsibilities. All I do is make sure people stick to the rules, deal with reports and organize some community challenges. Basically, I’m a happy mod when I don’t have to do anything at all :)
On top of that, I hate having to remove comments or posts and always try to get in touch with the poster to let them know why I did what I had to and hope they understand.
I don’t really see how this can be seen as a reward to be honest.
The gases of Hydrochloric Acid and Ammonia mixed together form Ammonium chloride. Which, among other things, is used as salmiak to make salty licorice.
I remember making this in high school, it’s the very first thing that pops in my head whenever I think of bad + bad = good. Granted, you must like salty licorice, or it’ll be bad + bad = disgusting :)
I’m not going to highlight all the phones I’ve ever owned, quite a few were second-hand and didn’t last long.
But I WILL use this opportunity to wax nostalgically over my old Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. It was tiny, the battery lasted for two days easily, water proof and it was bright orange/red.
It was the perfect phone for me and I’ve never seen anything like it again. Sure it was slower and the resolution was nothing spectacular, but it did everything I wanted and it was so easy to carry with me.
For my work lunches, I either read a book or do some random sketching. Alternatively I go and buy something outside and go for a walk while eating my lunch. Some coworkers make a big thing about eating together, but I really can’t do that every day.
At home I usually don’t eat on my own.
