I have been to hundreds of thrift stores across the country. Rarely are any two the same. Rarely are they the same store if you visit it months later. And some are expensive but if they are, they usually have better stuff. Visit the stores in the areas that are generally poor and you will still find lots of hidden jems at deep discounts to the retail price. So much so that it’s always worth the extended trip outside of your neighborhood.
When I was young life was pure chaos. It was a constant battle and I often looked for things that would ground me and let my mind rest for a bit. I discovered the Peter Gabriel song Washing of the Water. I really liked how he sang it and so I memorized the words. They are good and when its a very dark time for me, the words are a great way for me to gain a little mental peace.

The cyrix line of cpu was always far behind intel and amd. They ran super hot too. One time we wanted to see how much we could overclock one and it burned itself through the motherboard!
Makes me wish I’d taken pictures of the rope locker and line rooms in the Navy. We’d make some awesome thrones with the line when underway. Nothing is as comfortable as one of those chairs when the ship would rock
