thisbenzingring,

Challenge accepted. I’ll post our collection tomorrow! I used some magnets to hold up a white board last week too. Hahaha

thisbenzingring,

The cyrix line of cpu was always far behind intel and amd. They ran super hot too. One time we wanted to see how much we could overclock one and it burned itself through the motherboard!

thisbenzingring,

this is why I just poke them through the bottom somehwere…

thisbenzingring,

I wouldn’t have thought twice if you didn’t make that point. IDGAF if you’re a fan of the comic artist or style. I’m not a huge fan of this comic but it’s cute and her ability to create as much as she does makes me respect her. I am a fan of the newspaper style comic strip format, she does it very well.

People get rapid about her because they like her and her product.

You bringing up misogyny says everything about YOU.

You don’t want people to go there? Don’t start the process.

thisbenzingring,

Thank for filling me in on why but you are wrong. I didn’t know about that history but it doesn’t matter.

If you have to start a defense with “I’m not (something) but”, you are indeed showing behavior of (something).

I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

thisbenzingring,

The crack was done because of a flaw in the AMD CPU and not the Linux component. My understanding is it’s only good for temporary override of the subscription enforcement.

thisbenzingring,

It was Jon. He had a cat in the 70s. But that orange thing he tells you is just lazy? Nope it’s the same cat, just stuffed like an hunter’s trophy. Jon, he has his quarks we decide to just look the other way sometimes. I haven’t had lasagna in years… Always smells so good too…

thisbenzingring,

Kikiky Nootnoot noot ps ps ps

::rubs fingers together::

Cat’s can’t resist!

thisbenzingring,

I have a niece that is not yet 2 and I can tell you she reads body language and practices it along with speaking. Her body language is a lot better then her spoken language by far.

thisbenzingring,

Makes me wish I’d taken pictures of the rope locker and line rooms in the Navy. We’d make some awesome thrones with the line when underway. Nothing is as comfortable as one of those chairs when the ship would rock

What is your unpopular flim opinion

I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

thisbenzingring,

The slowness is meant to represent the distance they are traveling, in both time and space. This was also made in 1968, the moon landing was in 1969. Compare Planet of the Apes to 2001 for a good comparison of what special effects were like in the same year.

The top block busters of that year www.imdb.com/list/ls068940380/

Most of them are long winded, it was the style of the time.

If you think of the movie as 3 parts. One, pre-man discovers tools (because the monolith changes one tribe). Two, Man must overcome the tools it has created. Three, man is absorbed by the aliens tool to become next-man.

Anyways, I understand why someone might not like it but it is one of my all time favorite movies and its worth watching later in your life as you might get different impressions on it if you are young now

thisbenzingring,

Now I feel the desire to watch some education videos on the larch

thisbenzingring,

Don’t worry though, this won’t take effect until 2032ish

thisbenzingring,

no need, THC does the trick without the pain or scarring

thisbenzingring, (edited )

its why we were the slacker generation and the laziest generation and the … well they didn’t start the generation name calling with the Millennials, you could say.

thisbenzingring,

Tudors were fuckin jerks but their building style is pretty cool

thisbenzingring,

May I suggest a reading of the Voltaire book Candide? Phrases like “Everything will be ok” or as the book often suggests “all is for the best” in the “best of all possible worlds” will take on a whole new meaning.

The book is funny most of the time but it has a very sharp cynical edge about life and positive thinking and how it doesn’t mean much in the face of most life changing events.

thisbenzingring,

She suggested you take one of those little blue pills

and then handcuffs you to the bed

And then…

thisbenzingring,

I was a network administrator at a site, which just made me a glorified system admin with responsibility for the network and switches.

Everyone in the IT Dept had the password for the switches. After one person gave a 3rd party vendor the password, I had to change the passwords and exclude him from having it… but then everyone else got the password.

That place was nuts, between that and a few other stupid boss actions, I just moved on. Found a much better job and it was for the best.

thisbenzingring,

You ever met one of those people that proudly tell you they have never seen a Star Wars movie? Fuckin losers!

thisbenzingring,

I’ve played before anticheat was a thing and it is meaningless. Cheaters are going to cheat. The best anticheat systems are voting. The game kicks a winning vote total and then that server sends the rest of the servers it’s results. Then that account is flagged as a cheater. The only way a cheater can exist is they hide and don’t cheat and are obvious in it
