Fun fact, there are 3 major power grids in the lower 48 united states’: the Eastern Interconnection, Western Interconnection, and Texas.

whenigrowup356,

Yeah that’s the irony, Texas wouldn’t even need to secede to fuck up its power grid.

I’m loving this format (i.imgur.com)

In the first a bunny labeled “BIDEN” is holding a clipboard while looking up to an older woman labeled “VOTER.” In the second panel, the bunny is saying “would you like to keep Trump out of the white house” and it becomes clear that the clipboard, which is obscured...

whenigrowup356,

Vote in the primaries. Vote for the winner who’s least fascist. Yell at them. A lot. Activism in the streets, calling your representative about pending legislation. Donations to organizing groups you agree with There are multiple stages of the process you can get involved with. 1 vote every 4 years is not enough

whenigrowup356,

In all of Vietnam there are currently two active metro lines, one of which is only partially complete.

I hope it improves. Many lines are under construction but all of the projects have been plagued by delays for years.

But why would you include this as an example here?

whenigrowup356,

I always found it easier to basically automate the process as much as possible. “spend” every recurring expenditure and also set aside the most aggressive savings/investments possible using separate bill pay and savings accounts or buckets. Everything is taken out of the main account as soon as your paycheck hits, so it means everything you see on your spending account is a free dollar that you can use for fun or food.

Some people might operate better with a set amount for groceries too, but I personally found that too restrictive.

A good budget is one that you stick to, helps you achieve your goals, and crucially, allows you to enjoy your life to at least some extent. Whatever method works for you, it’s important to give yourself permission to spend some money on fun. However small.

whenigrowup356,

We must keep the stories of the old ways alive. Help the younglings to remember what was lost.

whenigrowup356,

Insofar as there’s a distinction between the two, I feel like you’ve got it switched. Merriment would be a night out with drinks and friends, whereas deep happiness would be more like contentedness with your life choices. But they’re about the same. Plus “A Christmas Carol” uses Merry, and it’s like the ultimate Christmas story.

What is your unpopular flim opinion

I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

whenigrowup356,

Did you watch/enjoy any of Tarantino’s other films?

He’s often praised for his dialogue but tbf I find some of the conversations not at all realistic. I can see how that could rub some people the wrong way.

whenigrowup356,

He has trained you well, I see

whenigrowup356,

Utilization has a short term effect on your credit score, ie one month with high utilization might temporarily cause your score to go down.

Going back to normal utilization the next month will bring your score back to normal range, and the effect is mitigated by having a longer history.

This is mostly just important if you’re planning something big like financing a car/home.

Who’s the guy just to the left of Dahmer?

And the two guys just to the right of Saddam?

ETA: left of Dahmer is Dylan Klebold, one of the Columbine shooters. Leaving this up anyway
