xenoclast,

More like Google would send someone out there to punch you and take your wallet for the privilege of a premium service

xenoclast,

Ugh. Woosh. Nice one

xenoclast,

I’m sure it isn’t… but you’d be surprised how much resting hr goes up with age.

They don’t need anything nearly as complicated as GPT LLMs . They already generate these scripts with a MS Word macro. It’s been like that for years.

Once in a while the source dictionary is updated. They sell the scripts in lots of like 20 and charge for any customized work.

I’m certain those books work the same way.

If you can think of a way that reduces work and increases profits. They are already doing it.

The Hallmark movies are mostly filmed in one of the whitest basic beige towns in British Columbia. It would be difficult to find someone. They do have an east Asian population but it’s small.

xenoclast,

A common British cooking technique…

xenoclast,

You shouldn’t have taken the bait. You’re talking to a sea lion: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealioning

I like your idea that we need to move in the direction of a more social communist environment over time. That makes sense.

Looking around at the world and arguing that everything is fine and saying no one could possibly thing of something better is so mind boggling ignorant.

It’s hard to comprehend what 8 BILLION people really means as well. All of these social systems. Religion, governments, anarchy, empires all existed before there were even one billion people. Before globalization, before instant communication. During the fascist revolutions in China in the 70s there only a third that many people on the whole planet and no one had a cell phone.

Capitalism is failing because it’s a pyramid scheme that’s becoming flattened by the monstrous scale of the base. It makes it so clearly obvious what’s going on now.

I feel like most of our attempts so far aren’t equipped for the scale we’re talking about. I hope someone with the resources to help can figure out how to educate the right people with the right perspective to come up with an alternative… but probably not in my lifetime. Which is a bummer.

We definitely need to figure out how to average out the access to resources and influence. Lots of people think I mean communism but I don’t. That’s an old idea that we should consider borrowing from though.

xenoclast,

Lol no one gives a fuck about you. You’re the punchline right now. Come back if you grow up.

The number one (by a long way) selling vehicle in the US is a massively over sized truck. Designed to be so heavy to avoid falling under emissions laws.

There is no electric vehicle that comes even close to that. You want those people interested in electric cars. They don’t give a single fuck about what your think about buses and nothing you will ever do in your lifetime will change that. Ever.

Getting people into EVs is an across the board incremental improvement in the exact definition of the word.

You’re right about the massive benefits of transit and trains in particular would be so amazing… but none of the people we want getting out of F150s give a single shit.

xenoclast,

So far. If YouTube wins the adblock fight it’s running. It means the end of adblockers.

Because once they do it. Everyone will. We won’t be able “just go somewhere else”

xenoclast,

Canine are also persistence hunters, bears can be as well. I still like the comic though.

xenoclast,

I hope you all paid attention in class

xenoclast,

If the business is to produce educated people. Teachers provide the core benefit… and pretty measurable.

It’s when there’s a teacher with 7 line managers that are just have meetings to talk about the teachers “output” that causes the problem.

xenoclast,

It’s basically modelling. With the same spread of poorly paid to insanely paid for no good reason.

Influencers in the modern age are competing for advertiser attention.
