It hasn’t been good for over a decade or more at this point.

Spongebob had an astounding three season run. I could probably even go to bat for a few of the season four episodes.

But thirteen seasons and counting? Other than handsome Squidward, I can’t think of a single joke/scene that people love from an episode post-movie.

“Happy”, I think a lot of people overlooked it because Christopher Meloni having a cartoon unicorn as a companion seemed cheesy, but the show wasn’t afraid to dive into truly horrific plot lines.

The less-grounded corner of my brain thinks the show was cancelled because it was openly talking about skeletons in the closets of network executives.

At the risk of sounding edgy: Sex.

I live in the US. Sex, even just plain boring vanilla sex, is such a taboo topic. Everyone’s uncomfortable about it, and that sucks. I think it’s interesting, and fun, and there’s so many things to talk about from actual activities to social constructs and more.

Whenever it comes up, I nerd out the same way I would when talking about a game I am currently obsessing over.

Social interaction. It would be nice to not just be so exhausted talking to people. It would be nice to not dread the idea of sending someone a text, like it's some insane mental effort and not the smallest thing. It would be nice to not be lonely but totally unwilling to do what it takes to correct it.
