If this is your first time using Linux, just use Linux Mint. Stable, popular, good package support, etc. Once u feel more ready you can dip your hands in other distros.
I’ve talked about it with people who are not rich themselves but who are around the mega rich because of their jobs… Apparently at a certain point, “things” lose their meaning and experiences become their new materialism. Hence why so many rich people get caught up in depraved shit that makes it on the news, because theyre down the rabbit hole of collecting wild experiences as opposed to cars or jewelry or whatever other entry level rich person stuff. Flexing becomes more about “have you been to x, have you done y” etc
Sometimes I’ve felt like an object I was imagining suddenly for a split second was somehow tangible inside my head. Like it has weight that I can feel, but it only lasts for a very short moment. It’s hard to put into words.
At current count, 911. I used to sit around 3000 but managed to shave it down, now it’s creeping back up.
Too many things I want to download or read later and not as much time as I used to have. I have been making an effort to use alternative methods though such as bookmarks, YouTube playlists, or just, you know, doing the thing in the moment.
You need to wash your hair. Your hairs have tension at the scalp because of a build up of body goo preventing them laying flat. Pain goes away if you wash your scalp.
On my personal Firefox, five pinned and usually 3-4 more. On my work Firefox, six pinned and 4-6 more in one window, and probably another 6-10 on a window in the other monitor.
If I can’t see at least part of the page title on each tab, I start feeling anxious. I do a lot of bookmarking, sending to Pocket, etc.
Not that I have progressed enough financially yet to be in a position to buy a Tesla Model S, it’s gone from a dream car to something I’d be ashamed to own because of being disillusioned by who Elon Musk is over the past few years.
I just got the job I’ve been striving for since 2015. Early on, I said I wanted to get a Tesla when I could afford it. Now I can and don’t want one. I’d take one if it was given to me, but I’d just resell it. I don’t want anything to do with Musk.
There are plenty of other cheaper, better made cars out there, that don’t have stupid bullshit like charging you to replace the entire backseat because the seatbelts stained.
Several local (but national chain brand) furniture stores.
So many reasons. One had better quality furniture on display than what they sold by a long way. Another tried to give me not one but two firm mattresses instead of medium and lie to me about them. Yet another got caught out blatantly lieing to my face about delivery times and procedures.
All of them had great customer service right until the point that they had our money and then completely treated us like garbage afterwards.
It’s the first thing I do when installing a new app, as most prompt for it on first launch, and I reject it immediately. I can always allow them later, but it’s been my default mode since iOS started letting you control them.
For email and work IM’s, my phone shows only the badge, no sound. Signal, SMS, and the phone app get sounds, too. That’s it, silence on everything else.
