Used to have a really nice commuter rail that connected to the city, now there’s a six-lane highway that clogs up twice a day.
morganth, I occasionally take the bus from NYC to a town in the Finger Lakes, and this is so true. I have been through so many towns that check off every one of these boxes.
craftyindividual, Old unused train tracks are one of my favourite things on vacation. It really is a journey into the past. So peaceful.
