Pretty straight forward really, install Adguard home on a always on Linux box (rpi is our movie box) via github.com/AdguardTeam/…/Getting-Started and then update all your devices as per the setup instructions from the web app when working so they use the ip address of the rpi as their dns. I was surprised how easy it was to get running tbh.
