Edit: I noticed there is a meme, but usually the caption is just for a very short description for the visually impaired having it read to them.
Also, they’re taking your message as saying that science shouldn’t be trusted (a common anti-vaccine and anti-education argument made by many Christians) - that’s what they’re referring to about the “man with the megaphone and sign.” I don’t know if that’s what you were intending to say or not, but that’s how it came across. Your point makes sense, but they’re assuming your conclusion is that science in general is bad - mostly because of the recent political issues regarding that. Hope that helps.
