Very, very true. I love how Frakes has taken it as a point of pride that the opposite of ‘jumping the shark’ is ‘growing a beard’.
aeronmelon, (edited ) Frakes returned to film the second season with the intent of shaving it off, but Roddenberry insisted he keep it. Said it made him look “nautical”.
