ruckblack, I’m so confused
possiblylinux127, (edited ) Shut up, Wesley
ruckblack, Snape?!
MentallyExhausted, I hate to be negative or mean, but this makes absolutely no sense.
ummthatguy, It’s from a Doctor Who episode where the TARDIS consciousness is placed into a body.
Telodzrum, The Gaiman one? Big swing and a miss on that episode; it’s rough.
MaggiWuerze, Thank god, I thought it was me :D
XTornado, Yeah I thought I was having a stroke.
teft, On a scale of Data to Okona how high are you?

But also, it’s a Doctor Who reference.
xusontha, just replace data with R.I.K.E.R.
Kolanaki, (edited ) Having rewatched this episode again recently, I’m finding it a bit uncomfortable that the only reason Yar and Data hooked up was because they were insanely drunk on alien molecules.
Which brings up two questions:
- Was it morally okay?
- How the fuck does an android get drunk, even on alien molecules?!
FlyingSquid, (edited ) How the fuck does an android get drunk, even on alien molecules?!
Data wasn’t drunk, he was infected by something that mimicked drunkenness. So the real question is how could a ‘polywater infection’ affect humans and androids, and the same way in both? Also, Data wasn’t ‘intoxicated’ (for lack of a better word) until after he slept with Yar, making it far more morally questionable. But Roddenberry was a horndog.
Bonehead, It was the first season, and they were trying to reuse a TOS story to fill out the season. Don't think about it too much...just roll with the drunken android sexy times...
