11 years of posts, most of them just trying to helping out others, are now gone. Thanks Power Delete Suite! I feel like I just had a breakup that was my choice,...it feels really disappointing but I'm free!
Brand new here. Been kinda "poking around" the past couple weeks but it's looking more and more like a viable alternative to Reddit. Just wondering if there's a way to display only the magazines I'm subscribed to?
If you want to see the full list of which magazines your subscribed to, it's in your profile. If you're in the website you click/tap n your username and then choose profiles. Then you have to use the arrows to see more options at the top. If you keep hitting the arrow you'll eventually get to "subscribed." I think that's what you're looking for.
@DeadwingSoda Weird, if I open kbin.social in Safari, I have the back button, but if I share the site to my home screen, when I launch from the icon, there’s no bottom buttons. 🤔
This morning when I opened Infinity to check Reddit, I saw the announcement above: they're going subscription-only. Ironically enough, I couldn't scroll down to see the rest of the message including prices, if there were any. I also couldn't see if there was a button to close the message or start a paid subscription. I couldn't proceed to Reddit at all. My only option was to close the app completely. So I uninstalled it.
That's it for me using Reddit on mobile! Can't say I'll miss it much. But I added a LOT of content to Reddit that way, so it's their loss. Fuck you, spez!
I have auto update turned off for apps, so I didn't get the last update for Infinity and I can still use it to see Reddit, for now. Once it dies I'm out though. I can't imagine they will be able to get enough subscriptions to support the app, so I'm not really sure what the goal is here.
Even the people subbed to r/Infinity_For_Reddit are saying they won't buy a subscription. Wouldn't Infinity be racking up a huge bill from Reddit once the API change goes into effect? There's no way subscriptions will cover that so I don't understand why they're doing this.
I have a Mastadon, AND a Kbin now. I'm trying to sign up for different Federated services and link 'em all together. I'm loving this new protocol so much. It's quiet...
It feels similar to the early 2000's internet and I'm loving it.
Is there a kbin Android app yet? I know the web app works, which is what I'm using now, but would really like a native app. I'm assuming these are being worked on and just need time to bake!
There's one in development for kbin that's intended to work for both iOS and android. It's honestly looking pretty good. Right now, it's still in private beta, scheduled to go public mid/late July, but you could always see if there's still room on the pinned sign up form. I'm sure the dev would love as many testers as she can get
Anyone know how to see an instances list on Kbin? On any Lemmy instance, you can find a link at the bottom of the page that shows you who they're federated with and who they've defederated from. I can't find one here on Kbin.social. I only see the mod log.
