If you're going that way, Windows is not going to suddenly start updating when you simply boot it. You have to willingly click "Update and Shutdown/Restart" instead of "Shutdown/Restart", assuming your computer even finished downloading the update.

Just using endeavour's bundled yay, you can install most packages including deb ones that users have written a "how to install" for. https://aur.chaotic.cx/ would also be nice.

More and less ridiculous at the same time: These appear to be (torrented?) offline copies of online Linux tutorial videos

Ways to pirate music as convenient as Spotify?

The reason I gave up on MP3’s and subscribed to Spotify was because Spotify was easy. I’ve been listening “Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds” song every day and like a week ago, its removed. This was the last straw for me. Right now I’m trying to find “Stremio” of the music world. Can someone assist?...

It’s the opposite for me.

Problem is, Spotify has always been making a loss, so I’m not sure what side I’m on here

I actually see a legitimate use case for it and helped add the actions version in a project where I'm a collaborator.

Quite a bit, certain bugs disappear after an update without us targeting it (partially because the logs get fudged a bit after going through dependencies, so sometimes multiple bugs have the same cause or it's actually a dependency issue that got fixed) and sometimes we forget about old feature requests.

The stale reminder doubles as a reminder for us to (re)consider working on the issue. When we know something probably isn't gonna get fixed suddenly, we apply a label to the issue. For enhancements that we'll definitely work on soon™, we apply help wanted. We've configured the action to ignore both. We also patrol notifications from stale to see if something shouldn't go stale. This is a medium-sized project so we can handle patrolling and IMO this helps us quite a bit.

Use uyouplusextra with SideStore and Wireguard on demand.

They’re clearly using iOS. Plus, you can already sideload up to two apps with SideStore. I recommend uYouPlusExtra.

How do y'all deal with programs not supported on Linux?

I’ve been seeing all these posts about Linux lately, and looking at them, I can honestly see the appeal. I’d love having so much autonomy over the OS I use, and customize it however I like, even having so many options to choose from when it comes to distros. The only thing holding me back, however, is incompatibility issues....

LibreOffice also has macros support

I either find an alternative or use it under Wine-GE

John Oliver's campaign for puking mullet bird delays New Zealand vote for favorite feathered friend (apnews.com)

Oliver discovered a loophole in the rules, which allowed anybody with a valid email address to cast a vote. “After all, this is what democracy is all about,” Oliver said on his show. “America interfering in foreign elections.”...

Nowadays, you have options like endeavorOS.

Do these programs not work over SSH?

Aatube,
@Aatube@kbin.social avatar

Hmm, that’s a fair argument. I’m pretty sure new server installations can just have their default program list modified though.

what I want to know is why they missed out on the song-arr pun opportunity and gave sonarr to TV instead
