AdmiralShat,

Do people really wear watches to bed? Never in my life has taking a watch off at night been an inconvenience

AdmiralShat,

I wear a smart watch to get work related text messages without needing to pull my phone out. Sometimes I’m busy or my hands are covered in oil/diesel

AdmiralShat,

Ohhhh, I hadn’t even considered that part

AdmiralShat,

Yeah if any of that actually happened, but it didn’t.

I think shows that don’t have an end in mind always devolve into their purest form

Like Suits, a great example of a show that just went past its life time. It eventually just became people barging into someone’s office and yelling at then over something they misinterpreted, usually with some form of “oh here’s a gotcha I also was doing stuff behind your back” only for the person they’re yelling at to reveal it was either a lie/misinformation or hit them with a gotcha of their own, then they walk down the hall and get yelled at by some temporary character

I’ve been saying this since I watched a video on the history of dictionaries in elementary school (I heard that the I before e except after c rule was made by a guy trying to discredit Shakespeare and got interested)

I’m so glad I’ve been seeing this type of stuff on lemmy. It’s refreshing to see people actually understand that these are just recordings of words and how they’re spelt and pronounced (with bias and purposeful edits) rather than an actual hard line in the sand.

Edit: holy fucking shit I can’t type

AdmiralShat,

Is such a fucking irony that factoid itself has become a factoid for “bit of trivia”

AdmiralShat,

Isn’t mastodon apart of the Fediverse?

AdmiralShat,

Autocorrect makes it apart regardless, so I guess my phone decides what I say

AdmiralShat,

Crazy what happens when people wash their hands and stay inside when sick

AdmiralShat,

There’s a big difference.

One you’re putting berries on cheese with carbs

The other you’re putting berries in cheese with carbs

See the issue?

AdmiralShat,

That’s bog standard admob. If you have ANY app with ads on your phone you have already agreed to all of that so it’s moot.

I just paid for it the moment I bought it because I want to support Ruben. Fantastic dev overall, anytime I had an issue with the reddit version he personal would respond and either patch it himself or already have an answer

The paid version doesn’t have admob library

AdmiralShat,

How do they differentiate these mating types and what separate things do they contribute to the life cycle?

AdmiralShat,

Prepare for the 14year Olds on hexbear to come in and pretend that China has a great government

AdmiralShat,

I love Douglas Adams

AdmiralShat,

Often times, for me, it’s not even a refusal. Certain situations or emotions I sort of just “I’ll deal with that later” and then never do. I mean to, eventually, but just procrastinate it until it’s a legitimate delusion

AdmiralShat,

Embrace the Shat

What's the point of buying new phones every years?

Other than your carrier give it for free or cheap, I don’t really see the reason why should you buy new phone. I’ve been using Redmi Note 9 for past 3 years and recently got my had on Poco F5. I don’t see the point of my ‘upgrade’. I sold it and come back to my Note 9. Gaming? Most of them are p2w or microtransaction...

AdmiralShat,

I buy used flagships.

A 1.5 year old flagship costs the same as a brand new midrange phone, but is significantly better.

I just got a S21 Ultra for cheaper than I would have paid for an A54. (Also Exynos is hot fucking garbage. I wanted to get away from Samsung altogether, but the price on this made sense and I has a snapdragon. Significantly better)
