If it’s not intuitive enough then don’t use it and don’t open it. You can always close with Ctrl+z and then kill it. Or close a terminal window like any other intuitive editor.

Okular is good enough for me. It has at least 3 dark modes and I can hide all the UI in non-fullscreen mode.

At this point I have used duckduckgo for years with no issues.

LaTeX is shit at this point. Check out github.com/typst/typst. I cannot go back to the awful syntax in a powerful LuaLaTeX.

MS Word — bad, LibreOffice Writer/Typst — good.
