Anticorp,

“Conservatives” haven’t wanted to conserve anything in a very long time. They want to prop up the rich with government subsidies, hurt the poor, control the women, and hopefully kill some sick people along the way. That’s a damned far sight from conserving traditional American values.

Cant unequip mainhand weapon.

It’s the Knife of the Undermountain King, if that is relevant. I’m not a druid, so I don’t think it has anything to do with wild shape. I have had Jahiera in my party a few times. I did get disarmed once about 20 hours ago, so it might be related to that. Anyways, I cannot unequip, disarm, throw, or drop that knife. I’ve...

I’m pretty sure it’s the strongest build in the game. Monk/rogue probably has better damage output and definitely has greater movement, but none of the utility. There’s nothing that any companion can do, that my bard can’t do as well, or better. AOE damage was one area he was lacking, but I picked up a couple of different spells when I reclassed and he has that covered now too. I was thinking about doing a playthrough using this build without any companions as durge.

Edit: one thing he is missing is spell sculpting for avoiding friendly fire with AOE spells. The wizard is still best in that area.

Anticorp,

Oh? I didn’t know that! Okay, thank you!

Anticorp,

I might try killing him tonight to see if that works. I found the gloves of hill giant strength, so I want to switch to strength based weapons, but I’m stuck with these finesse weapons.

Anticorp,

I haven’t tried that, but I know disarm does not work. I’ll give that a try tonight. Thanks for the idea!

Anticorp,

Even if I was evil, I’d never team up with someone like him, unless he could provide me with something that I couldn’t obtain without him. He’s incredibly selfish, arrogant, and condescending. I can’t see any evil -or even any good- character I play tolerating his banter, and demands. The only reason I didn’t kill him outright in the first playthrough was because he killed me when I tried. LOL. I just wasn’t powerful enough the first time through.

Anticorp,

Evil isn’t about being a murder hobo, that’s more of a homicidal maniac than an evil character (although it’s still evil). A lot of times it’s about being completely selfish, and self absorbed, but also manipulative to get what you want. Some of the most successful people on the planet are evil, hell, possibly all of them. It feels like there should be other rewards for an evil path.

I haven’t actually played durge yet, but I’m planning to this next playthrough. I’m almost finished with my 2nd playthrough, which was supposed to be an evil playthrough, but at each choice, knowing how much I would be missing out on led me to helping and saving people, instead of telling them to fuck off and then hitting them in the face with my sword. Except for Balthazar. I wasted no time talking to that ugly bitch. I just attacked him.

Anticorp,

That’s good to hear! I haven’t played durge yet, I just read a lot of feedback that it’s lacking quests and gear. I’m planning on playing as durge on my next playthrough. Are there special dialogue options if I choose the white dragonborn character instead of making a custom one?

Anticorp,

No way! Ceramic Le Creuset mug, sitting at my kitchen table, waiting for my brain to activate for the day.

Anticorp,

And what it all comes down to

Is that everything’s gonna be average, average, average

Anticorp,

Either those are 2 person benches, or y’all got some big asses over there.

It was 1982, so basically still the 70’s.

You’re talking about the paradigm of tolerance, which isn’t what I’m referring to at all. I probably didn’t make it clear that I’m not talking about the Chappelle situation. What I meant is that the left is becoming a lot more tribalistic, just like the examples you gave of right wing tribalism at the beginning of your response. I agree that liberalism isn’t engaging in it any more than the right, but we shouldn’t be engaging in it at all. We’re supposed to be the thinking group. How can we be a thinking group if we cast out anyone who presents opposing ideas for things? I’m talking about things like accusing anyone who doesn’t agree with the ideas presented by Beverly DiAngelo of being racist. Or someone not liking a movie starring a gay character being called homophobic, when they just didn’t like the movie. There’s far too much accusation occurring which stifles open discussion, and open discussion is where growth happens.

Anticorp, (edited )

No, that’s not what I’m confused about. I’m not confused about anything. I wasn’t talking about Chapelle, and I’m familiar with the paradigm of tolerance. You’re talking liberalism 101, I’m talking about the ever-encroaching tribalism that is shutting down productive discourse. I shared a more detailed explanation already on another response. I’ll grab it and come back here with a link.

Edit: here

Anticorp,

It has always seemed to me that their society is what you’d get if the United States didn’t have billionaires hoarding 90% of the wealth. Allocate all of those resources fairly, reduce the population, add in some free electricity and replicators, and you have TNG.

Anticorp,

I don’t even know what removed means.

Anticorp, (edited )

Edward, he held the flood back. Edward, when flood released.

Anticorp,

It’s pronounced jif because jraphics are his phavorite.
