They are 1. Slow on launch and on boot. 2. Very opaque and offer little control. 3. They don’t integrate well. 4. Proprietary. 5. Probably most importantly, Canonical has made 0 progress and demonstrated 0 interest in improving issues 1-4.
My new favorite order is been Rogue One, 4, 5, then 1, 2, and 3 of the Hal 9000 edits, then 6. The fan edits are generally a little shorter, so the watching them all between 5 and 6 is less of a slog than the original 1, 2, and 3.
That was the last thing that kept me dual booting. Eventually, I realized that my printer wasn’t worth using on any OS so I wasn’t losing anything by going all-in.
