BastingChemina,

NixOS too. I really like having a “fresh” install every time I restart.

BastingChemina,

I tried via a VM but CAD applications need a GPU and doing a GPU pass through with a nvidia card on my laptop was too much for me.

BastingChemina,

This is what I did, I prepared a partition for windows on the second ssd and it went OK.

The only issue was that I needed to manually add drivers on the windows usb for it to be able to recognized my ssd. It was a bit of a pain to find this information online

BastingChemina,

Yeah this was my issue too.

Favourite FOSS Torrenting Client for Linux that has a VPN killswitch?

I’m a long-time Transmission user but I just learned that VPN killswitches are a thing (how did it take me so long!?). I would like to try another client which has this feature in case I forget to launch my VPN client before opening Transmission. Does anybody have any recommendations? Deluge? QBittorrent? Or any others?...

BastingChemina,

I have the same setting because some tracker only let you connect with one IP address. So I have Prowlarr and Transmission both connected via gluetun.

BastingChemina,

I tried rewatching recently but I could not go past the recorded laugh.

BastingChemina,

I met my wife on tinder, we were living in two different country 80 km from each other but it worked.

However it was almost a decade ago.

BastingChemina,

Even underground there is tons of issues. One for example is that the ground is having tides.

As the moon passes above is the ground is moving by several cm so it has to be compensated by the collider.

BastingChemina,

Yeah, for us the solar installation (5kw of panels) was around US$14k. Since electricity is quite expensive and we live in a sunny country the installation paid for itself in 4 years.

BastingChemina,

Your coworkers put their password under the keyboard ? Mine just leave a post it on the side of the monitor.

BastingChemina,

Did someone suggested Debian already? If not I would suggest Debian.

(Please see comments)Alternatives to Signal if they exit EU due to ending E2EE

Like the title states looking for E2EE apps (Android and iOS) without going into much details or needs to be robust enough and easy to use for anyone and stable for operations that are susceptible to constant electronic warfare. I did some research and thought about replacing Signal with Molly and wondering if it will still work...

BastingChemina,

Briar is probably the best bet if we want something that works despite any governmental effort to break encrypted messaging.

I never really used it (I don’t have anyone around it interested to try it with me :'( ) but I would be interested to hear more about it if anyone has experience with it.

BastingChemina,

I’ve never used nixos but with nixos would it be possible to do all that with just the configuration file ?
