I swore off trailers after watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the theater. The scene where Han tries to convince Kylo Ren to turn away from the dark side was ruined for me because I knew there was a scene in the show where Rey and Kylo were having a duel.
Ever since then if there’s a movie I even slightly care about then I’ll completely avoid the trailer.
Another thing that pisses me off is when something is labeled a ‘teaser’ but it’s 1:30+ minutes long. That’s not a teaser, that’s a trailer.
The problem is that you have governments like the Taliban in Afghanistan, pre-9/11, destroying ancient statues, trying to erase the history they don’t agree with.
Instead of returning stolen antiquities, countries that are currently in possession of them should be required to send an equivalent value of their own country’s treasure to be displayed in the victim country’s museums.
Imagine having to go to Egypt to see the crown jewels of England.
It was a joke… I was still working full time, just from home. And I didn’t go anywhere because there was a pandemic going on and I didn’t want to be around people. But the fact that I was 100% in sweatpants and lounging around the house for a year did feel lazy, but had nothing to do with the checks coming in from the government.
