ChicoSuave, to lemmyshitpost in Cops dragging a reel

Looks like somewhere in Europe that has a police requirement of a college graduate. These cops are acting like American police.

ChicoSuave, (edited ) to memes in I'm starting to think it's a conspiracy to waste otherwise productive people's time.

I got banned from c/politics because I said that we should treat Republicans like they treat trans folks. In an unironic message the mod said my language was threatening without understanding that’s my point: the right are saying incredibly vicious things and can’t take their own heat. The mods over there are turning it into a right wing echo chamber.

ChicoSuave, to lemmyshitpost in We aren't gonna like this one..

Taylor Swift is tolerated because she has a huge swath of followers and uses her platform to say center/left common sense things like “stay hydrated” and “take care to not get sick”. The right hates her because she is both successful and doesn’t follow their messaging guidelines for right wing Richie’s, which they thought she was. Anyone that doesn’t like her for her politics usually starts out by saying she was good when she sang country, like a dog whistle for right wingers.

The left doesn’t like her because her messaging for climate change and her personal actions don’t mesh. Her private jet use puts her in a very lonely company of highest polluting people on the planet. She can be better but the left is thrilled she isn’t a right wing sociopath getting paid to say hurtful things.

ChicoSuave, to foodporn in I made a charcuterie board

Charcuterie is to cooking as flower arranging is to gardening. Arranging food is different from applying heat and seasoning.

Eat the hair and gain the power of your enemies/cat.

ChicoSuave, to asklemmy in If you could go back in time and stop any one person or group's musical career, who or what would it be?

Outside the box: Robert Elliot, a charter pilot who flew and killed Jim Croce by crashing into a tree on takeoff. Pilot error was found to be the cause as the overweight 57 year old pilot was unable to drive to the airport so ran for 3 miles, from his motel to the hangar, to be on time for the flight. The run exacerbated his coronary artery disease, causing him to tunnel vision and not see the tree.

ChicoSuave, to risa in I hope this ship holds together!

Or how about when a car is overheating and you turn on the heater for that extra bit of heat capacity?

ChicoSuave, to memes in If you aint first your last!

Are you not going to give up being king until you slam into a guardrail and give up the title? Cause that’s how Mario Kart works.

ChicoSuave, to lemmyshitpost in If only it was like that

Fahrenheit is like school grades: 60 is minimum tolerance and beyond 100 adds nothing but misery.

ChicoSuave, (edited ) to asklemmy in Lottery winner

Michael Bloomberg spent $1 billion to run a distraction campaign, taking headlines from Bernie Sanders’ repeated wins in the early 2020 Democratic primary. Bloomberg spent $500M the first week to flood the internet with influencers and meme makers being absolutely distracted by the low torrent of low effort shit post memes about Bloomberg. It was so obviously an astroturf campaign built on fake sentiment that everyone forgot Bernie won 5 states in a row and was crushing Biden. By the end of the month, Elisabeth Warren also bowed out and took her progressive voters to Biden.

So for $500 Million you can ruin a grassroots campaign! Buy bad memes and pay influencers to distract people.

ChicoSuave, to upliftingnews in Scientists discover first new antibiotics in over 60 years using AI

Does this AI use the same process for piecing together things as LLMs do for art and writing? Is this a drug we have known about but not yet applied as an antibiotic or a whole new compound?

ChicoSuave, to lemmyshitpost in Modern German

Looking at the lyrics, I’m not sure it is:

Moving forwards, using all my breath Making love to you was never second best I saw the world thrashing all around your face Never really knowing it was always mesh and lace

I’ll stop the world and melt with you You’ve seen the difference and it’s getting better all the time There’s nothing you and I won’t do I’ll stop the world and melt with you

Dream of better lives the kind which never hate (You should see why) Trapped in the state of imaginary grace (You should know better) I made a pilgrimage to save this humans race (You should see why) Never comprehending the race had long gone by

I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) You’ve seen the difference and it’s getting better all the time (Let’s stop the world) There’s nothing you and I won’t do (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you

The future’s open wide

I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) I’ve seen some changes but it’s getting better all the time (Let’s stop the world) There’s nothing you and I won’t do (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you

The future’s open wide Hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm Hmmm hmmm hmmm hmmm

I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) You’ve seen the difference and it’s getting better all the time (Let’s stop the world) There’s nothing you and I won’t do (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you (Let’s stop the world) I’ll stop the world and melt with you

ChicoSuave, to movies in Apt Pupil - Thoughts on this film?

It’s worth it. It is a movie that builds tension the entire time, starting slow and snowballing until the end when things seem inevitable.
