ClaireDeLuna,

I do this, here’s why. Also I’m 23

I don’t like getting oils and sweat on my screen. I also don’t like putting my dirty screen on my face.

I can still talk to someone and do other stuff on my phone. If I want privacy or I’m in an area where speakerphone would be annoying then fine I’ll use it the old way, but generally I have headphones to bridge that gap anyways.

ClaireDeLuna,

Not nearly as much as my face that’s for sure

ClaireDeLuna,

Oh today I learned, TBH my information was probably out of date. But this is good to know. Definitely a step in the right direction even if more diversified public transportation options are better

ClaireDeLuna,

I actually really really enjoyed Loki, easily the strongest thing marvel has released recently.

ClaireDeLuna,

One person benches

Chair. That’s a chair

ClaireDeLuna,

I think I know what your mom’s favorite food is

ClaireDeLuna,

What happens is some kid gets a gossip app which takes their contact data and then uses it to send this shit.

I used to get it pretty often too when I was in school.

ClaireDeLuna,

As an American I didn’t even think of the automatic transmission. That makes a lot of sense too.

ClaireDeLuna,

Modal transport design is probably a huge reason why this works. I would be interested to see the pedestrian deaths in a packed busy city like NYC vs the wide suburban roads of the rest of America.

My theory is that roads designed with the purpose of driving faster (designed with a higher modal level) are commonly placed within high pedestrian areas within the US (Stroads) and due to that higher modal mental state people are “comfortable” and thus use their phones as their brains are less occupied. While in a busy city street they’re in that 1st modal mental state so they are focused on their surroundings way more.

ClaireDeLuna,

Oh it is lol, political cartoons?? There are entire chapters dedicated to those. Political memes are 100% going to be studied in the same vein

ClaireDeLuna,

Unless you speak Spanish, you can play the game in Spanish

ClaireDeLuna,

Couldn’t you just say “Vampires hate them!” If you don’t know? Seems easier imo

ClaireDeLuna,

I’m not a huge reader, ADHD ensures that. Also the now “traditional”(?) Anime/Manga art style leaves little to be desired for me. (It feels like the Times New Roman for cartoons) so I generally avoid most mangas. But I’ve enjoyed the fuck out of Junji Ito’s stories despite the disturbing imagery. But Tomi’s recurring character is great.

With how common the isekai the seems to go I feel like it’s become the “rouge-like” of literature though. It cropped up out of nowhere and now I’ve got middle aged men at my job referencing the word. Wild stuff
