Cqrd,

You can continue to cope or you can upgrade to a real browser.

Cqrd, (edited )

Brave is wrapped up in so much controversy it feels like you’re trolling that you called it a real browser. You’re trolling, right? Have fun with your brave sponsored ads and crypto bullshit. Also you’re still being lead by Google, but I guess that’s okay because it’s in a pretty wrapper.

Cqrd, (edited )

You jumped into this conversation, friend.

Google does keep Mozilla alive, but it wouldn’t have to if it weren’t a monopoly. Since it does monopolize the market, it has to keep Mozilla alive or face monopoly busting action. The money Google makes comes from ads, but not the money Mozilla makes.

Also, unlike you, my browser isn’t directly controlled by Google’s every whim.

Cqrd,

We used one of these with our daughter when she had a concerning iron deficiency. I’m not super sure if it helped since we also started feeding her more iron containing foods, but it didn’t hurt 🤷‍♂️

Cqrd, (edited )

Our daughter was less than 12 months old and had a cow milk protein allergy that was causing her to throw up most of the formula we were giving her (the allergy took us a while to figure out). We opted for trying to improve iron intake before going to pills, though if she was still deficient at her next check up that would have been what we did.

Cqrd,

My wife and I still prefer dietary changes to medicine when applicable

Cqrd,

Trust me, I’m nowhere near an antivaxxer, if the pediatrician pushed even slightly harder for medicine as the solution then we’d have gone that way from the start. They were fine with us trying diet adjustments first and doing another visit soon after to see if the issue was resolved (it was).

I understand the concern though.

Cqrd,

Disney plus has a decent bit of solid content. By saying this you don’t sound edgy and cool like you think you do, you sound dated. It’s okay to accept that Disney makes decent content, they have enough money to. It’s also okay to not like their content. But pretending you’re an ancient ass ostrich with your head in the sand is just cringe.

Cqrd,

I knew this dumb fuck would say he didn’t have time to watch Disney plus, in a piracy community where people download things to spend their time.

Also he hunts criminals, that’s why he’s here partaking in this piracy community.

What a dumbass.

Cqrd,

Nobody here gives a fuck about your whataboutism, go troll somewhere else.

Cqrd,

“The big picture is made up of brush strokes”, absolutely love this. Gotta try to remember it.

Cqrd,

Strong disagree. It’s much easier to reliably find things on Usenet and I don’t have to worry about even using a VPN. I’ve received ISP complaints using torrents, nothing at all from Usenet (and it’s unlikely I ever will, given the nature of how usenet works). Also I don’t have to worry about seeding or anything like that (which is why it’s unlikely I’ll receive a complaint letter).

Usenet is the answer to finding content reliably and it’s so, so easy.

Cqrd,

Not in my experience 🤷‍♂️

Cqrd,

This requirement forces people who can’t otherwise remember passwords to fall into patterns like (kid’s name)(season)(year), this is a very common password pattern for people who have to change passwords every 90 days or so. Breaching the password would expose the pattern and make it easy enough to guess based off of.

Cqrd,

Secops has been against this method of protection for many years now, I’d say you’re the outdated one here

Cqrd, (edited )

We’re on the internet, you can say shit.

If your user is just using johnsmithfall2022 as their password and they update the season and year every time, it’s pretty easy for hackers to identify that pattern and correct it. This is not the solution and it actively makes life worse for everyone involved.

Cqrd,

Often times you’ll find that the crazy things IT does are forced on them from higher ups that don’t know shit.

A common case of this is requiring password changes every x days, which is a practice that is known to actively make passwords worse.

Cqrd,

A hundred years, and no, not quite. The myth of them being at war for hundreds of years is spread mostly by evangelical Christians who want to sow divide.

They’ve mostly been in a “peaceful” state recently where Israel has been treating Palestinians as a sort of worse apartheid state. This has allowed for build up of a terroristic group (Hamas) that performed a massive surprise attack, some believe with the backing of Iran. Hamas is basically the ISIS of Palestine. This attack was a surprise because Israel has been relying heavily on technology to spy on and suppress any threats, but Hamas planned their attacks without technology. If Hamas wins, things won’t necessarily be better for Palestine, they’ll just have different oppressors.

Israel is definitely bad here, but Hamas isn’t great. Everyone doing the fighting sucks, the civilians are the only good people involved in this and they’re being massacred. Everyone here deserves better.

Go back to hexbear, tanky. Nobody likes you.

Literally the only thing tankies can say about the atrocities their beloved authoritarian dictators commit is “but amerikah”. Fuck off with your bullshit.
