What do I use this for? Do I install it on my NAS or my gaming pc?
My best guess is this is a self hosted network storage for games and other computers run the games from there? Or do they download the game from there? Is it a way to store game saves? Does it have any use for emulators like yuzu?
Sorry for all the questions, I’m only asking because the software looks really interesting but I just can’t figure out its uses.
I’ve seen dogs with vests that have fake eyes on the back just for this problem. I even get a little protective with my small dog whenever an owl is nearby.
There’s only two reasons an app should be a subscription.
The app requires constant server connection that is an active cost to the developer.
The app requires constant updates for maintaining functionality/ relevancy.
There are a few subscriptions I pay for (Nabu casa for one). There’s real merit in the subscription model, but it should only be about 1% of things not 80%.
The shows is not good. The use this format for the show similar to pop team epic, but unlike pop team epic the show just keeps repeating the same joke of “isn’t this thing strange if we look at it without context?” And it gets really tiring. Credit to the show the jokes are fine, just not suited for a show.
Networking has to be the most confusing and tedious IT work I’ve ever done. I still don’t fully understand all the basics of security. But by far the worst part is that troubleshooting can’t be done like normal programming. Network troubleshooting takes forever, and all you get is a working network. Network work feels so dull even I have a hard time seeing my effort.
I’ve had windows 10 tell me I can’t upgrade to windows 11 because my SSD was formatted incorrectly even though it had always ran windows 10 fine. None of this was properly explained to me or how to fix it. By the time I finally got it working I didn’t even want windows 11.
The dubs vs subs argument made more sense when dubs were generally low effort trash. Now dubbing is done very well. As someone who can read subtitles fine, a dub is always more a relaxing/ less cerebral experience where I can focus that much more on the content.
