I'm on AMD and had so many issues with Wayland. A lot of games were straight up unplayable due to the amount of issues and some other applications straight up not compatible while scaling is also still a freaking mess. Saying Wayland has been working perfectly for years just feels like clownery and is kinda insulting to everyone who experiences those problems.
Wondering how much of the Lemmy user base wouldn’t use an adblocker. If you do use one what other blocking do you use to circumvent data collection, YouTube and reddit front ends and things alike?
I see a lot of communities for moes. Fitmoes, kemonomoes, smolmoes. I don’t know what a moe is - obviously it’s related to anime or Japanese (or otaku) culture but it’s so clearly a thing that I don’t know anything about.
That's how I look for broken mods too. Move half of them into a temp folder, launch the game. If it works, put half of the sorted out ones back. if it doesn't work, remove another half and try again.
This show just came to an end and it’s got to be one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen, but somehow always entertaining. Preferable if the show has a large amount of viewers to trash it and laugh at it.
TWD main show got pretty terrible too. It's sad because FTWD definitely had some good moments too and at a certain point it even looked like it improved a bit again. But now it feels just like some trash tier zombie show.
Is this actually a growing issue right now or just some media panic?
Because I just bought a couple regular mattress protectors, the ones you put on top, not the ones that encase the whole mattress. :/
Spotify is still the worst in that regard. It even loves to constantly repeat the same ~5 songs or so, at least before I quit the damn thing. Winamp has done this better a couple decades ago already, among many other features.
This makes no sense to me. There’s people in the comments literally telling me to go kill myself and that’s fine but, me politely disagreeing is worthy of a 30 day ban.
Best to block all Lemmy.ml communities, as it is full of tankies, including the mods.
This specific one has mods who let reported tankie disinformation in form of both comments & threads stay, as well as insults towards other users by the same individuals. I tried reporting rule breaking comments & threads for a few weeks, monitored if they'd do anything, but nothing happened and the same users continued doing the same spiel in other threads.
If Lemmy.ml isn't distancing itself from Lemmygrad and Hexbear and does enforce their rules selectively, then there's no reason to treat them the same as those other extremist communities.
The travesty is how many people are unable to say this out loud. Everyone is stuck in their black & white tribalism, making them blind for their own sides atrocities.
You can be pro Palestine and still condemn Hamas. You can be critical of the Israeli government and still grief for all the innocent Hamas victims. It's not actually that hard to be a decent human being.
In an interview Thursday with NBC News, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman praised Musk’s aggressive cost-cutting and layoffs at Twitter, and said he had chatted “a handful of times” with Musk on the subject of running an internet platform.
Huffman said he saw Musk’s handling of Twitter, which he purchased last year, as an example for Reddit to follow
It's a decentralized link aggregator in the design of Reddit with federation support for Lemmy & Mastodon content.
I use kbin because it's simply easier to use and more familiar for me as a Reddit user. Lemmy's layout is just confusing to me and I don't like the extremistic ideology of the admins.
