As lemann pointed out there’s a setting for that in the YT add-on im the sources tab, not the app settings. Also myself and others have had loading issues with Revanced. It’ll start playing, suddenly start buffering and never stops. Grayjay works as it should and still has the settings I want from Revanced. Not to argue, just want to let others in my situation know Grayjay is the upgrade we need.
That’s what I saw in a reddit post way back but updating and reinstall never fixed it. I was using YT on browser for a while just because it was more reliable and didn’t have ads. UI sucked ass though. Ky biggest critique on Grayjay so far is the lack of vertical swipes to adjust volume/brightness.
Exactly this. I’m getting plenty of downvotes and people claiming I’m talking crap but when I tried the Linux gaming life, I couldn’t even get Minecraft to work. Freaking Minecraft. And it only continued downhill from there. I make no claim that it’s not possible to game on Linux, only that it’s often such a chore that your entire planned gaming session can end up being a session of reading through forums filled with snide comments from pretentious Linux fanboys instead. I started as a console gamer and the fear of PC gaming was always that PC gaming can be a nightmarish tinker fest but Windows is much more click-and-play than Linux in my-and-most-people’s experience.
This is precisely why I’ve always waited for the GOTY version to release (or whatever other subtitle they slap on the box) but through all of their BS I find I’m less and less willing to part with my money. Certain companies have become a no-fly zone for me and that list is only growing longer.
I find it funny that they specifically refer to the past year for a large increase in piracy. Remind me when it was that companies started consistently charging even more for the base package of their games…
Is HEVC (8-bit)/AAC a good, modern CODEC combination for rebuilding & reducing my library size without compromising quality? Helpful feedback would be appreciated.
Some people priortise library quantity over image quality and with the standard living room setup of ~50" and 8-10’ gap between screen and sofa, a small decrease in quality would be negligible anyway.
A better Revanced (grayjay.app)

Do you utilize a dedicated AV like Bitdefender when sailing? Or do you still trust Windows Defender to take care of the higher risk while doing this?
What the title says, and that’s pretty much it. Do you or don’t you?
