Like I said, I don’t really run into it enough to need another piece of software installed on my computer, but that is definitely something I need to keep in the back of my mind. It seems delightful! ^_____^ Thank you!
Yeah I fucking love that font. Better than Noto Mono because in Inconsolata the zeros have a cross through them and therefore it’s easier to distinguish them from the letter O.
The only downside is that it hasn’t been updated since 2015-12-04 and thus only has “the base ASCII set and … the Latin 1, 2, and 9 complements”. So it works for most English-speaking purposes, but runs into problems if you try to use certain symbols used outside of that context, like other languages or some special characters. I don’t run into it often enough to be too much of a problem, but it is there.
I do not, but only because I use ProtonMail and don’t have premium so I don’t have IMAP/SMTP bridging.
I used it all the time back around 2011/2012 and it was pretty great, but that was admittedly a long time ago so I imagine lots have changed since them.
Hell, I’m so socially inept that I interacted with girls in the past and then as they were leaving I was told that I did well at flirting with them, to which I responded with, “I was flirting?”
I don’t even understand the benefit of it. It’s not like memeing is a job where you have to protect your intellectual property. Why even do it? Do they think so highly of themselves that they need to “protect” memes that they create? They’re randos on the Internet adding captions to images, not V/A professionals…
It also goes against the longstanding spirit of Internet memes, that they are things to by definition be shared, not intellectual property to be bound.
