Getting chased by an aggressive rooster is one of my earliest memories. I mostly just remember jurassic park levels of pure terror.

Now that I’m a large person, that perspective seems absurd, but chickens are very scary when you are small.

You can’t avoid Amazon entirely but your order is still a drop in the bucket that tips the scales in the right direction.

For small brands trying to establish a presence, the first thing retail buyers and distributers ask is how their Amazon sales numbers look. Having an Amazon presence is not optional for small brands that are trying to grow.

If 90% of orders come from amazon and only 10% come from their own website, it frequently doesn’t make sense to both pay for Amazon distribution and keep their own warehousing and distribution capabilities. But if more people like you and I convince people to order directly and 40% came from direct orders, that math starts to bias more heavily in favor of setting up their own fulfillment.

So find some comfort in that you are playing a small part in paving the way to a better future for these companies even if they are beholden to the Amazon monopoly currently.

I don’t know enough about FedEx culture to know if this is a good thing, but any serious competition is probably an improvement at this point.

Red Wing’s imported footware isn’t at all durable. They do still have some models made in Minnesota that are supposed to live up to their reputation.

It also seems like most people think that if they are vaccinated they can ignore it entirely.

Vaccinated individuals still experience the first stages of infection and still develope a high enough viral load to be contagious. The vaccines are effective at decreasing the duration and severity of infection, but they can’t prevent it entirely.

People who know they were exposed should still isolate for a few days even if they are vaccinated.

Maybe they’re upset that this isn’t an independent replication by a different group? It’s the same facility and group reporting these results because this machine is truly one of a kind.

Mcmaster-Carr or Grainger have just about any tool you can think of and you don’t have to worry about chinesium junk either.

Random guess is this is from back when cars had cigarette lighters and someone dropped it on the passenger seat.

Some password managers support generating random passphrases like “correctbatteryhorsestaple.” They’re still a pain to punch in on a remote, but much easier to keep track of where you are in the password and avoid transcription errors.

That sounds like an underpowered blender. Squash takes a really high blade speed to properly cream. Cooking it a lot longer before blending could help.
