I’m just curious, did you downvote me for some reason? Or was that another onlooker?

Because the service is now 75% more expensive than what it cost when introduced only four years ago.

As an aside remark, it’s really funny how everyone has to elaborate what the fuck they’re talking about when they talk about Twitter.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) Ubuntu explains the situation

could have just been written as

In a tweet, Ubuntu explains the situation

but the epic genius elon decided to destroy all brand recognition. Truly incredible thing to witness. Twitter literally got its own branded terms into common lexicon and he just set it all on fire.

GnuLinuxDude, to piracy in I’m sorry, but I cannot help you with finding pirated movies. Piracy is illegal and unethical 😉

Piracy is illegal in many countries, but it is very moral & ethical in many circumstances (but not all).

remember those website that say “oh you are using an ad blocker so disable it to access our site”

I can easily imagine this not being a necessary, anymore. Just let the website using this WEI API automatically disable all browser extensions on a WEI-enabled site. Why not, after all? Why should you dictate the traffic you receive on your computer? Why should you own anything?

I finally created my lemmy account specifically so that I could browse lemmy.ml again without seeing memes all over the home page!

GnuLinuxDude, (edited ) to asklemmy in How often do you brush your teeth?
@GnuLinuxDude@lemmy.ml avatar

I brush twice a day. I had a kind of gross moment that forced the habit. One day I looked up microscopic pictures of teeth. Normal teeth kind of look like a cool lattice structure under a microscope. Non-brushed teeth… the bacteria looked SO disgusting. I do not want that in my mouth…
