5 minutes into my shift the other day I took a hydraulic shower because some dingleberry didn’t report an accident where they broke a hydraulic hose on their forklift

They just parked it, grabbed a different forklift, then finished their shift

Then I came in to do my forklift inspections and got blasted with hydraulic fluid from the severed hose the moment I started my testing

So I had to fill out a shit ton of additional paperwork and scrub all the fluid off of me with the soap we had available (foaming hand soap)

I’m just happy that I had extra clothes in my car because if I didn’t that would have really ruined my day

All in all, a really shitty way to start a Friday

I work in the freight industry and I handle the dock pickups basically all day, this kind of crap happens all the time

Literally people tell me not to scratch the rhino liner all the damn time, it’s annoying

Usually I show them how far my forklift can place their freight without scooting it (which is never far enough (only when they complain about the potential for scratches)) then mention, “Unfortunately without scooting it you’ll have to load this by hand.”

Usually this gets them to relent and then I get to show them how tough the lining is by scooting the freight and not damaging anything

Sometimes though they still don’t want it scooted so they end up having to load it by hand by themselves (I can’t help by hand as it’s a liability thing) which always brings a smile to my face

Literally today some dingus ended up loading 5000lbs of flooring into their F-550 by hand because they didn’t want the rhino lined bed scratched

Couldn’t agree more on it being a bad justification for piracy

Though if you bought it and the license check stops working later I’m not even sure I’d call patching it to work without the check piracy, it’s simply fixing something you own

Yeah you’re going to use the same tools but to me I don’t see it as piracy but simply a right to repair thing

At no point did I dispute the accusations, I simply asked out of curiosity why people say Empress is crazy.

As for why I referred to her as they, I honestly didn’t notice that I did. I typically use gender neutral terms when referring to people simply out of habit.
