This is like why I emigrated, except it didn’t work

I’m not a Mac stan by any measure. It just feels like a tired bit. How are people still laughing about this?

Gradually_Adjusting,

I wonder what it’s like to still feel like this is relevant

Dude’s got jokes from before the twin towers fell

The people who grew up having to explain games that don’t pause are old and have kids now.

It’s just a pity he’s too young for Disco Elysium. Oh well, at least he’s enjoying Chrono Trigger.

Real old people have no pity for the young. Get your own planet to ruin, kiddo! 💪👴

Gatekeeping oldness: the surest sign of someone worth talking to

Gradually_Adjusting,
@Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world avatar

Hadn’t heard of that one. I’ll have a look

Someone made it, and I have it. I like it.

When it dies, I’ll figure something else out. Stoic style.

You didn’t hear it from me but, Gray Jay .app

Yes. And the fact is that if you are trying to systematically tip the scales in favor of moneyed interests versus the general electorate, the lobbyist system looks like a good design choice.

Anyone else really impressed with Noah Gervais’ essay on Fallout? I’ve never heard anyone talk about something I like for that long without saying anything that seemed wrong.

They deserve to be, for their historical support and democratic roots, but we are too uncool and therefore vibe with the English instead

I feel that way after someone makes me write down their fax number. I’m not paid enough to act like a businessman from the 80s

Be fine with me if they were used as nothing but fancy receipts. It could be used as an ownership model for digital content, but that hasn’t been built yet afaik.

Gradually_Adjusting,
@Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world avatar

I heard of that. I think there’s room for good ideas anyway, for sure

My heart misgives me, and words fail. Though I speak in the trouble of my heart, I know not if any counsel could mend this.

Creatively stolen piecemeal from the verbiage in LotR. I’ve been going through the Phil Dragash soundscape lately.

This is like if fracking was used to make memes

Those folks have been inventing a lot of strange phraseology to bypass word trackers. It’s been a constant treadmill of obliquity for years. They’ve got more layers of irony and verbal innovation than the fucking Tor network.

They’d change the way you talk faster than you can say deadass no cap.
