Just tried it yesterday. It is a LOT more smooth for me, but it can’t seem to handle 144hz. I turned it down to 60hz and it seems to be going well for now. I can live with this I think.
Just restore a snapshot. Or just check which packages are gonna get updated. OR just don’t update right before you have to do critical work.
If none of those work for you, then Arch isn’t for you. That’s fine too. I also sometimes get intrusive thoughts telling me to just go back to Mint. 😁
I’d say it’s even more simple. Comes with stuff like snapper and zram preconfigured and a bunch of tools to do various things. I use their KDE lite version since I do not like their theme AT ALL.
Nothing special, I just kept distrohopping and backing up my home folder to a seperate drive each time via rsync. Eventually I messed that up somewhere, some data was lost. I think that was early this year.
Nothing to major, bit of a nuisance is all. And a grim reminder that eventually you WILL mess up. It’s just a matter of time really. So try to minimize the factors that lead to mishaps like distrohopping and be diligent with your backups.
I am slowly going insane with KDE Plasma freezing up every time there is even remotely something accessing my drive. Not sure if I should pin my hoped on Plasma 6 or if I should attempt to move my Arch install over to Cinnamon. Or heck just install Mint and call it a day.
I’m glad Denuvo costs so much money for each month you have it in a game. That way it’s the logical conclusion to eventually just patch it out of the game. Well, unless those games are Persona I guess. But I refuse to buy Denuvo infested crap, I will stay strong.
