The Maquis were upset that their settlements were traded in a wartime treaty without their input. In a perfect world they would get to stay on those planets, but they weren’t native and the issue is muddier.

Back when Reddit was fun there was a very small sub called r/alot. It imagined that alot was a mythical beast and whatever word came before alot in the sentence was an adjective describing it. The guy artist who created the sub would then draw a new “alot beast” for every post. I miss old Reddit sometimes.
It’s atrocious to move a happy, well adjusted family from the country they have lived in for generations into a literal war zone. Then settle land stolen by imperialists, expecting peace and safety. The same peace and safety being actively denied to the colonized families.
